B&R Ubuntu Africa Missions Ltd is a non-profit organization found in Uganda, aiming at positively impacting the lives of the unprivileged in rural areas of Uganda. This charity was birthed by Sharing Organization Uganda, a grassroots community-based organization in Mityana district. Our projects include;
1. Children’s Focus Initiative (children’s home)
2. Environmental coservation plan.
3. Community outreaches.
4. Girl-child empowerment.
5. Animal rescue.
Under Children’s focus initiative, we share hope through supporting the basic living of unprivileged children, disabled and youth development. We hope to make Uganda greater by empowering the less previledged.
We are obliged to caring and looking after orphans and other destitute children. Provision of shelter, food, clothings, water, education and medical care to these children is our obligation. We achieve this through a mobilized community-based effort.
Under the environmental conservation plan, we intend to achieve this by our continuous acts of mobilizing and educating masses to about proper waste management and “keeping green” through afforestation. Our target is to prevent human-caused natural disasters and reduce the impact of global warming.
Through community outreaches, we reach out to different communities like schools, hospitals, and also local council villages. We offer counseling and guidance to people free of charge, and also timely support to heavily challenged individuals.
Under girl-child empowerment, we promote equity and advocate for the rights of the girl child. We also work on a campaign to ease the menstrual days of the rural girl-child by providing free sanitary pads to them.
The animal rescue project is aiming to fronting the rights of cats and dogs in Uganda. We shelter, treat and provide food to them. Our end goal is to establish a state-of-the-art sanctuary in Uganda.
This charity was birthed by Sharing Organization Uganda, a grassroots community-based organization in Mityana district after realization of a need for national service and recognition as an NGO.
B stands for Beverly and R stands for Rachel, they’re part of the name because of the massive support they provided towards the initiation of this charity.
We also recognize and thank Mary for the great work of supporting in the composition of the charity’s name, and the late Ju Won and YongTae for supporting the initial dreams of this charity to reality. Those two great men fathered this dream from the most baby steps.
